This year we have an exciting new fund-raiser for players to sell. We have partnered with Green Bee Savings Club to be able to offer discount cards (tickets) for dining deals, shopping discounts, movie ticket packages, and other amazing offers. Furthermore, these discount cards also offer a very cool Baseball Fever Sweepstakes, giving buyers the chance to even win some extra money! Quite simply, here is how the discount/sweepstakes works:

1) The ticket is sold for $20. Buyers go online to www.greenbeesavingsclub.com to register their card. Their membership is valid online until 8/31/2012. They have access to over 100 UNLIMITED savings offers such as Restaurant.com offers; purchase a $25 certificate for only $5 - or - three $25 certificates for only $10!

2) Each ticket has three random MLB teams each weekend in June. The three teams change every weekend. No two tickets have the same three teams each weekend. Prizes will be automatically awarded weekly to owners of the tickets that contain the three teams that: Score the highest number of runs ($250), scores the 2nd highest number of runs ($120), scores the 3rd highest number of runs ($60), scores the 4th highest number of runs ($40) and even the lowest number of runs ($30). That's $500 in prizes each week, total available Sweepstakes prizes = $2,500!

3) Buyers must PRINT LEGIBLY their name, address, and telephone number on the stub. Put the player’s name on the bottom line of the stub. You keep the stub and give the Discount Card with attached Sweepstakes ticket to the buyer. Turn in all stubs with the collected money.

4) Winners do not need to do anything; their prize money will be automatically mailed to them. Please click the Baseball Fever logo on our homepage www.elcoyouthsports.org/baseball to see how well your teams did.

We have heard from some people who have already registered their discount card to find the following types of deals. Whereas the deals change all of the time, currently people are finding several offers which include discounted gift cards and many Lebanon County businesses where you can get actual dollars "off" or a percentage "off" of their purchase. In order to do this you may have to invest $10 more to get $100 in credit for these offers but you can preview the current offers before making that decision.

There were too many to mention all of the deals (and keep mind these participating companies can change at any time) but we have been hearing about coffee shops, Fishbone, Layser's Flowers, Lantern Lodge and they all have special deals; some more than one. Yogey’s, Twin Kiss, and more. There are also travel discounts. From one person we heard "it won’t take me very long for me to more than make money on this." We have heard about 10% off gift cards to Staples, TGI Fridays, Dave and Busters, Macy’s, 1-800-Flowers, and Auto Zone. 36% off of movie tickets for AMC Theaters and Cinemark (though not the Lebanon Theater). And, then big discounts at hotels as well.

Anyone who is familiar with Groupon or Eversave will understand the process. But again you are not obligated to purchase anything additional even if you register and don’t like the offers and you will still be eligible for the sweepstakes that is on the card.
